Detailed Itinerary
Srinagar to Sonmarg Camp
Drive to Sonmarg (Shitkadi) base camp. Briefing by trek leader and equipment check. Acclimatization walk.
Sonmarg to Nichnai
Trek starts. Ascend through maple and pine forests. Reach Nichnai valley campsite (11,500ft). Overnight in tents.
Nichnai to Vishansar Lake
Cross the Nichnai Pass (13,500ft). Descend into the flower-filled meadows. Camp near the stunning blue Vishansar Lake.
Vishansar to Gadsar
The toughest day. Cross Gadsar Pass (13,800ft), the highest point. See the twin lakes Vishansar and Krishansar from top. Reach Gadsar lake.
Gadsar to Satsar
Easier walk through meadows. Reach Satsar (Seven Lakes) group. Camp near the lakes.
Satsar to Gangabal
Cross Zajibal Pass. Witness the majestic Mount Haramukh and the twin lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol. Camp at Nundkol.
Gangabal to Naranag
Steep descent through pine forests to Naranag village. Drive back to Srinagar hotel. Celebration dinner.
